Sinan Ersin, MD was born in 1964 in Eskişehir, Turkey. He graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1983 and from the Uludag University Faculty of Medicine in 1989. Between 1990-1995, he specialized in the Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery, and continued to work as a specialist in the same clinic since 1995. He became Associate Professor in 2000 and Professor in 2006. His professional interests are abdominal wall hernias, laparoscopic surgery, upper digestive system surgery, clinical nutrition and upper digestive system endoscopy. In 2021, he received an associate degree in Health Institutions Management from the Anadolu University Open Education Faculty. He speaks French and English, is married and has 2 children.
